I am currently working with a prestigious organisation based in London looking for an IT Security Analyst to have responsibility for the security of the entire network including firewall configuration, the security of network switches and routers and the management of Anti-Virus.
Key Responsibilities for the IT Security Analyst
  • Manage the business’ Checkpoint firewall estate including implementation, configuration and maintenance
  • Monitor and scan the network for vulnerabilities
  • Investigating and communicating security incidents, working with technical teams to effectively mitigate these risks whilst understanding and explaining to the business the difference between and breach and an incident
  • Take responsibility for Anti-Virus management
  • Monitor the web filtering system, email spamming system and two-factor authentication
  • On a continual basis, manage the firewall patch management and risk assessment
  • Carry out a regular system audit, server events analysis and system forensic, and troubleshoot where necessary.
  • Take ownership of the security system infrastructure
  • Work with 3rd parties to carry out the annual penetration test and mitigation program; manage and fix issues as necessary. Analyse test results and advise on risk management
  • Provide strategic and tactical security guidance for all IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.
Key Skills and Experience for the IT Security Analyst
  • Enthusiasm and passion for IT Security coupled with strong reasoning and communication skills
  • Must have experience with Check Point firewalls
  • Experience working with Anti-Virus tools
  • Experience of a wide range of security tools including Vulnerability Scanning tools, Email Security & MDM
  • Experience scoping and managing penetration tests
  • An understanding of security compliance standards such as PCI DSS & ISO27001
  • Relevant industry certifications are desirable
