Information Security Architect
|Salary||€65000 Per Hour|
The Security Architect role will sit within the Information Security Group reporting directly to the Information Security Manager, Geordie Stewart. Whilst the role is a Security Architect position, it has a fairly broad scope requiring the Security Architect to have experience working across multiple projects and business areas rather than being too specific within a certain area of security or architecture.
This role will require someone to work with a variety of Information Security team members as well as the wider business to create and review solution designs to meet defined security requirements whilst implementing new projects that require Information Security involvement. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that solutions adhere to Information Security policy and compliance guidelines. The Security Architect will also have responsibility for providing input into project management lifecycles to ensure that projects teams’ activities are aligned to the design and implementation developing roadmaps and architectural patterns that can be used and reused by project and control teams to control the security of information assets and technical systems.
The Security Architect will have major input into the configuration of existing security technologies, ensuring that they are the best fit for business goals as well as assisting with product selection for new tools that will provide enhanced security protection.
Overall the Security Architect will need experience working across a broad range of Information Security areas, helping to align Information Security strategy with business strategy. The Security Architect will also need experience of working within a variety of projects alongside project teams to ensure that security designs are followed.
Ideally the Security Architect will have an understanding of Project Management principles such as PRINCE2. Also the Security Architect will have an understanding of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or SABSA.
This role will require someone to assist with Enterprise Security Architecture alignment and principles.
Someone from a very niche or focused background may not have the breadth of experience required for the role.
