Job Purpose  


Our client, a leading pharmaceutical business, is looking for a senior information security consultant to provide high quality Security advice and guidance to a diverse range of infrastructure and network security projects. The individual will have knowledge/experience of working on a remediation programme and have the ability to be the go to person for security advice and guidance. 


Key Responsibilities  

  • Work with the business to identify root cause of vulnerabilities, identify risks and put in place remediation plans to mitigate this 

  • Ensure the business Infrastructure is secure and security solutions are fit for purpose 

  • Help the business to identify risks and vulnerabilities and provide remediation plans and advice in order to ensure these are effectively mitigated 

  • Work with project teams to ensure that on going projects and programmes are being delivered in secure manner.  

  • Working with 3rd party organisations ensuring that interactions with the business are carried out in a secure manner.  

  • Be capable of advising on Security policy, Asset Classification, System development, Maintenance, Access Control, Compliance etc. 

  • Work with the business to deal with any incidents/breaches, helping to design and implement Incident Response plans and processes and carry these out as necessary 

  • Work with the team to raise security awareness across the business 

  • Implement risk management policies and procedures and undertake risk mitigation activities 

  • Help the business align to security compliance standards  

Experience & Technical Skills  

  • Experience helping organisations deal with incidents/breaches 

  • Experience of security remediation  

  • Risk management and risk remediation activities 

  • Experience of Vulnerability Management and mitigating vulnerabilities 

  • In depth understanding of Security Compliance standards including ISO27001 

  • Understanding of Security Architecture and SDLC 

  • Knowledge of Network/Perimeter Security 

  • Experience improving Infrastructure Security 

  • Experience working with 3rd party organisations
